Andrew Schroer

Andrew Charles Schroer has been a pastor for over 20 years, serving congregations in Mexico, Florida, and Texas. For eight years, he composed a total of almost 400 devotions in weekly syndicated devotional columns for seven different newspapers in Texas:

  • The Aransas Pass Progress
  • The Bowie County Citizens Tribune
  • The Ingleside Index
  • The Jackson County Herald-Tribune
  • The Longview News-Journal
  • The Pittsburg Gazette
  • The Victoria Advocate

For five years, he was also a contributing editor for Forward in Christ magazine.

In addition to his activities as a pastor and column writer, Schroer uses his Spanish language skills to create and edit content for Academia Cristo, WELS’ leadership and discipleship program in Latin America.

As one of seven children of a WELS pastor, Schroer was born in Toldeo, Ohio, and raised in Michigan. He met his wife Clariza during his vicar year in Mexico. They have two children, Isabel and Andy.
