Information Technology Specialist

Part-time

Use your skills and knowledge to share God’s Word by joining the ministry of Northwestern Publishing House (NPH). As part of our information technology (IT) team you will daily support the work of connecting people with God’s word through the publishing and distribution of quality Christian books and gifts.

In this important role, you will work closely with other IT staff and will be responsible for supporting the work of NPH by providing:

  • PC, Mac, and systems support
  • Systems security
  • Network administration
  • Business intelligence

It takes hard work, a proactive approach, a positive outlook, and the ability to interact well with others to be successful in any position. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with team members across all areas of the organization. Some skills and experiences that will be helpful in the IT Specialist role are:

  • NetSuite ERP or other SaaS ERP system experience
  • Demonstrated Word, Excel, and Access database skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail focus while able to set priorities and meet deadlines.

While we are a relatively small organization, you will need to enjoy working independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Customer Service Representative

Part-time

Use your skills and knowledge to share God’s Word by connecting people with quality Christian books and gifts. In this important role you will contribute to expanding Northwestern Publishing House’s ministry impact through serving customers as part of our call center team. You will daily have an opportunity to contribute to a servant culture of Christian witness and ministry by providing effective, personalized and memorable service. Specifically, you will help customers find materials they are looking for, recommend additional relevant resources, take phone orders, and assist customers in placing online orders.

It takes hard work, a proactive approach, a positive outlook, and the ability to interact well with others to be successful in any position. Here are some additional experiences and skills that we are looking for to ensure success in the role of Customer Service Representative at Northwestern Publishing House:

  • Experience in helping customers in a retail or call center setting
  • Confidence in recommending relevant materials and resources to others
  • General knowledge of typical online shopping processes
  • Demonstrated organization and problem solving skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills

While we are a relatively small organization, you will need to enjoy working independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
