Returns Information

We want you to be happy with your purchase. For this reason, we accept returns on most items.

What can I return?

Items that are in resalable condition may be returned for full credit within 30 days from the date of purchase. There are a few exceptions. Downloadable files, e-products, specially ordered merchandise, opened CDs and DVDs, dated material, or personalized items cannot be credited. Seasonal merchandise returned out-of-season is subject to credit at the current price.

Does Northwestern Publishing House offer exchanges on defective items?

Yes, Northwestern Publishing House will replace a defective item with the exact item if it is available.

Can I return items purchased through Northwestern Publishing House’s Meta Shop?

Items that are in resalable condition may be returned for full credit within 30 days from the date of purchase. The customer must request a return through Meta Shops. If the return request is approved by Northwestern Publishing House, the customer will receive instructions via email for shipping the order to our office. The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. After the returned items are deemed to be in resalable condition by Northwestern Publishing House, a refund will be issued to the original payment method. This process may take up to ten business days.

If the customer receives a damaged item, the customer should notify Northwestern Publishing House through Meta Shops. Northwestern Publishing House will contact the customer to begin the steps to replace the damaged item with the exact item, if it is available, at no cost to the customer.

Can I cancel my order?

If your order hasn't been processed for delivery we may be able to cancel your order. Please call 800-662-6022 as soon as possible.

How long will it take to get credit for my return?

Once we receive your return, credits or refunds are typically processed within 7 business days. Original shipping charges are not refundable.

How do I return merchandise?

To return an item, please log in to your account. In your Account overview, click on the order, and request a return. A form will open up and this will start the process to get your return authorization from us.

If you have had returns, they will show up in this same area.

Once your return is approved we ask that you please include the original packing slip with the returned item(s). Merchandise returned without this documentation may be denied credit.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges.

How do I check the status of my return?

In your Account Overview, go to Purchases, then click on Returns.
