Commands like “do not worry” and “fear not” often grace the pages of Scripture whenever God or one of his messengers visits an ordinary believer. For Christians struggling with anxiety, these phrases may appear to be more of a challenge than a comfort. Although books on anxiety can be found in any store, many of them tell readers to help themselves. How can sufferers find strength on their own?
Author William Woodington takes a different approach to handling anxiety by reminding believers that all of their help comes from the Lord. Whatever Is True equips readers with numerous Bible passages to help them face anxiety with the truth of the gospel. Armed with a new perspective on suffering and assurance of God’s love, those facing anxiety will discover an unending source of peace and strength throughout the book.

God focused advice Review by Mark Cares
Mr. Woodington emphasizes that a person can only successfully deal with anxiety by using God's Word. He writes, "God would be my way out, not me." (p.16) But he doesn't just emphasize using Scripture, he models it. His book is replete with biblical quotes. I doubt if there is a single page that doesn't contain Scripture.
I also appreciated how he showed that anxiety can be a positive experience as part of God's fruitful disciplining process. The book is filled with such insights - insights that come not from a textbook but from life experiences.
If you struggle with anxiety, or know someone who does, this is the book to read. (Posted on 10/8/2020)

Recommended reading Review by Dave Malnes
I appreciate Mr. Woodington's perspective in managing anxiety in his life. I also appreciated his approach. That in dealing with anxiety or worry, we need to keep the focus off of ourselves and onto God's promises through his Word. I have the privilege of training Christian how to comfortably and confidently proclaim the gospel with others. At the heart of our training, is similar to "Whatever is True." Instead of focusing on ourselves (and fear or have anxiety), we need to focus on God's promises. Only through Christ in us, for us, and through us, can we manage anxiety and spread the gospel. I recommend that you purchase this book. (Posted on 10/3/2020)
