The music presented on this double CD set was performed at the National Conference on Worship, Music and the Arts, held on July 18-21, 1999 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The conference was held at the Siebert Chapel at Carthage College. Included on the conference schedule were six services, two concerts and five recitals. The six services were: Prayer at the Close of Day, the Transfiguration of Our Lord, Ash Wednesday, the First Sunday in Lent, Good Friday (Service of Darkness) and Easter Dawn. Selections from these events are included on these recordings. A 100 voice choir and a 40 piece orchestra presented the opening Festival concert. 97 high school students, selected from around the nation as a conference Honors Choir, presented the closing concert.
