In Old Testament times, worship was very different from what we know today. The book The Bloodstained Path To God offers two ways to learn about this time period. First, the authors give a basic explanation of the biblical laws, focusing on the yearly cycle of festivals and the sacrifices God commanded his people to offer. Second, using a series of short stories, the authors illustrate what it was like to live in a Jewish family. These stories emphasize the impact of God’s laws on day-to-day life and what worship was like at the temple in Jerusalem. They also give a sense of what it was like to live under these laws.

The Bloodstained Path To God Review by AnnetteAdrian
Bible Discovery Series
The "Bloodstained" path to God... In reading this I realized why the men performed these rituals. There is so much to do with the choosing of the cleanest animal, to the instructions of slaying it and what it meant by the sprinkling of blood and the burning of the carcass so nothing was left over for anyone to pick up and use.... There was a list of steps that were expected to be done and there is no way, anyone but a man who has been taught the responsibilities could do it.... could follow through. It is a very detailed book of specific steps done in timely order under the care of the ritual rights. Leviticus gets skipped over because its such a dated time piece.
A detail of history and ceremonial law.
Its very specific and also foretelling of Jesus Christs coming.
There is a reason men were chosen for this. There is a unified bond between God and man in this ceremony.
I'm not sure if women and children partook just by sitting outside as it took place inside?
The fact that Aaron's sons were killed for not correctly abiding to the steps as given by God.
Its a very specific ceremony under the law and its purpose was to cleanse all the "previous" sins of all the people, away. Error was not allowed. (Posted on 8/20/2017)
