Contact me personally for any encouragements about rewrites... Review by James Hein

This is the author, James Hein. It's a small synod. And I'm not that difficult to find. Please feel free to contact me directly at if you have any concerns or encouragements for potential rewrites. I'd certainly be willing to listen to any specific examples of gross errors and misinterpretations. I'm sure NPH would be happy to refund your purchase as well.

Excellent Topic, Concerning Material Review by M. Roberson

My excitement for the material of this course quickly faded as I ended up rewriting all of the lessons from scratch. I am deeply concerned by some of the conclusions drawn in the comments as they appear to be contrary to scripture. Also, some of the interpretations of the biblical texts are questionable; at times it appeared that scripture was being bent to fit desired conclusions. This is an excellent topic with vast and timely application. I only wish the material had lived up to the high expectations I had for it.

Off the Charts Potential Falls Way Short Review by Rev. Thomas

There are few Bible Studies I have acquired over the years that both interested and motivated me more than this one did. The choices of "gods we never knew we had" were absolutely perfect for one of the finest and most fulfilling studies I have ever used. To say that these topics could cover 19 minutes over and over and over again is the understatement of the year.

Sadly, this study fell flat. For topic after topic, any one of about three or four sub-topics that absolutely have to rise to the top in terms of what you are going to discuss in the time you have (if you are going to actually attempt to discuss that particular topic) were absolutely ignored. In several cases, what was covered was so marginal in terms of the subject theme it bordered on being irrelevant.

I appreciated the graphics, and the topics that led me into a discussion of each of these sensitive issues. But I ended up having to re-write most of this myself so we could cover the main topics at least a little bit. I also put everything into PowerPoint, so it could be presented to a large group.

Still, I thank the author for the willingness to bring a study like this to light. It just saddened me that a grand slam home run turned into something far, far less.
