Marketing and Content Copywriter

Part-time (32-36 hours)

Use your skills and knowledge to share God’s Word by connecting people with quality Christian books and gifts. In this important role you will be responsible for expanding Northwestern Publishing House’s ministry impact through writing effective marketing copy. Additionally, you will provide editorial content for magazine articles, blog articles, and social media postings.

It takes hard work, a proactive approach, and the ability to interact well with others to be successful in any position. Here are some additional experiences and skills that we are looking for to ensure success in the role of Marketing and Content Copywriter at Northwestern Publishing House:

  • Experience in writing copy that effectively communicates features and benefits
  • Experience in writing copy that can be used across all sales channels
  • Demonstrated skills in writing for a broad range of audiences
  • Demonstrated skills in tracking, analyzing, and reporting customer metrics

While we are a relatively small organization, you will need to enjoy working independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule is flexible around core business hours.

Copy Editor

Part-time (24-32 hours)

Use your skills and knowledge to share God’s Word by connecting people with meaningful Christian books and resources. In this important role you will be responsible for impacting Northwestern Publishing House’s ministry through the copyediting and proofreading of manuscripts for our quality publications and related marketing projects.

It takes hard work, a proactive approach, and the ability to interact well with others to be successful in any position. Here are some additional experiences and skills that we are looking for to ensure success in the role of Copy Editor at Northwestern Publishing House:

  • Demonstrated skills in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Attentive eye for detail
  • Solid Microsoft Word skills
  • Experience in copyediting or proofreading preferred
  • Experience in book indexing preferred

While we are a relatively small organization, you will need to enjoy working independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule is flexible around core business hours.

Copyright Permissions

Part-time (20-24 hours)

Use your skills and knowledge to share God’s Word by connecting people with meaningful Christian books and resources. In this important role you will be responsible for impacting the ministry of Northwestern Publishing House and the WELS Hymnal Project by helping to secure copyright permissions for the new hymnal and related resources.

It takes hard work, a proactive approach, and the ability to interact well with others to be successful in any position. Here are some additional experiences and skills that we are looking for to ensure success in this role at Northwestern Publishing House:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attentive eye for detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of sacred worship music is helpful

Since we are a relatively small organization, you will need to enjoy working both independently and collaboratively and thrive on multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule is flexible around core business hours.
