This Bible study from the Families Rooted in Grace series explores familiar Biblical family relationships - from Adam and Eve to Mary and her son Jesus - and the challenges those families faced. Each lesson examines Scriptural truths from a biblical family circumstance and applies them to modern family life. The topics covered in the Families of the Bible study are applicable to every family at some point in time.
The eight lessons included are:

- Alone against the World: Noah and His Family
- Blessed is the Family That Puts God First: Abraham, Sarah and Isaac
- Salt that Lost its Saltiness: Lot and His Family
- Rivalry and Reconciliation: Jacob and His Family
- Train a Child: The Families of Hannah and Eli
- Fallen, Yet Forgiven: David's Sin and Its Consequence for His Family
- Holding On While Letting Go: Mary's Relationship with Her Son Jesus
All necessary components for organizing and leading this study are included; PDF and RTF files of student lessons and leaders guide also includes optional, take-home devotional readings that study leaders can print and distribute to participants. Each of the eight lessons comes with six devotional readings, one for each day of the week until the group meets again. The format for the devotional readings is as follows: Scripture reading, discussion and prayer.
