Manuscript Submissions for NPH
Here’s what you should do:
- Prepare one clear typewritten copy of your manuscript; it should be double-spaced.
- Write a one-page letter describing the project, and make sure your name and address are included.
- Send one copy of the manuscript to:

- Retain a copy of the correspondence and the manuscript for yourself.
- If you do not wish to send the entire manuscript or if you wonder whether we would be interested in your manuscript, you can send a query letter and an outline before mailing your full manuscript.
Here’s what we’ll do:
- We will acknowledge receipt of your manuscript as soon as we receive it.
- Your manuscript will be evaluated for publication potential; the process can take two to three months.

We will inform you whether or not we can use your manuscript.
Note: Remember that Northwestern Publishing House is a Lutheran publishing house printing material that conforms to the truths of the Bible as expressed in the Lutheran Confessions and confessed by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
The manuscripts we publish proclaim the truths of the Bible, and we’re always looking for new writers with new ideas!
