The individual chosen for this part-time position (30 hours/week) will support the IT function at Northwestern Publishing House. This individual will assist users with hardware, software, and system needs. This position will support both Mac and PC systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, MIS, or Computer science and 2 years of experience in an IT environment. Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
  • User helpdesk administration and support
  • Network administration
  • Point of Sale (POS) system lead
  • Epicor ERP/Microsoft Office/Windows and Mac user assistance
  • Mac and PC hardware set-up, training, and maintenance
  • Mac and PC software installation and update management

The individual chosen for this full-time position will be responsible for the administration of the Northwestern Publishing House ecommerce site. This person will ensure a highly efficient and effective ecommerce environment that meets or exceeds customer expectations. They will also be responsible for continuously improving web backend system and security, customer user interface, and customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, as well as the following experience:
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Experience with Magento Enterprise ecommerce platform.
  • Experience in purchasing of products and services through outside vendors.
  • Experience with web technologies (FTP, browsers, HTML, data files).
  • Experience and working understanding of Google Analytics tools.
  • General understanding of the tools available to drive traffic to ecommerce (PPC, email marketing, SEO, etc.).
  • Understanding of order management/customer fulfilment in an e-commerce context.
  • Proven ability in successfully leading/interacting with: website developers, network and server technicians, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
